Alwin Mareworth
His true name long lost, previously called only "Subject 213," he has stolen the name of a much beloved, now dead mark. How much of Alwin's past is true and how much is fabricated is unknown, but there is no question that he is a predator.
From Garlemand to Gridania, he has found new hunting grounds to love. There is no place in all of Eorzea he isn't eager to explore and devour, and there are few souls truly safe from this destructive hunter and his bloodthirst.

Background
Born to a poor family at the very bottom of the Garlean Empire's social ladder, Alwin's life was never going to be an easy one. His family struggled to survive and when a member of the Imperial military came knocking looking for "strong boys to serve their empire for a stipend" it was no surprise that his parents jumped at the opportunity to rid themselves of one too many mouths to feed. Had they known the truth of the matter would they still have sold Alwin to the Empire? No one knows and it really doesn't matter in the end, because they did sell him, he was taken, he was stripped of his name and from then on known only as "Subject 213," one of countless Hyur boys inducted into Garlemand's many experimental weapons programs.
Alongside an unknown number of other boys, Alwin was exposed to a mixture of Garlean and Voidsent blood, an Imperial attempt to harness red magic for Garlean use. There, subject to near total sensory deprivation, save for mealtimes or experimental procedures and tests, Alwin's personality slowly twisted from the downtrodden but naive child he was into the somewhat sadistic man he is today. When the program was abruptly shut down by...explosions in the capital, Alwin took advantage of the chaos, murdering one of the Hyur scientists he'd developed something of a relationship with and stealing the man's name as he fled from Garlemand to Gridania, leaving a trail of death and the bitter taste of red magic in his wake.
